Greg Dodd, GRID General Manager

With over 25 years experience in property development - in both South Africa and Australia - Greg Dodd has comprehensive experience in the successful delivery of outstanding property developments.

Greg has a strong and proven commitment to creating and delivering leading edge residential developments. This is achieved through design excellence and market lead solutions, which not only enhance the projects’ financial returns, but provide timely and sustainable outcomes for the landowners.

After completing a Civil Engineering degree in Durban and then an MBA in Cape Town in 1987, Greg worked for Faircape Homes in Cape Town and was the Project Manager for a number of successful residential developments producing over 300 townhouses and apartments. Greg then emigrated to Perth in 1993 and joined Voran. He prepared the successful submission for the redevelopment of Lockridge as part of the Homeswest urban renewal scheme. This program won the prestigious World Habitat award and was recognised with the UDIA Award for Urban Renewal.

Greg subsequently joined Estates Development Company in 1995 as Project Manager for what became the UDIA National award winning Ascot Waters urban renewal project. He was then appointed General Manager of Estates Development Company in 2003.

Greg’s broad property experience included the residential estates Caversham Grange, Bouvard Wood and another UDIA National award winning estate - Harbour Rise, Hillarys.

Greg joined Stockland in Melbourne, Victoria, as State Development Manager in December 2004 and managed the design and launch of the UDIA award-winning 2,700-lot Mernda Village in Melbourne. He was transferred back to Perth in September 2006 where he was responsible for acquiring land for future masterplanned communities and then as Regional Manager, North commenced the development of the 800-lot East Landsdale project, Corimbia. In 2008 he was appointed to Stockland State Manager, Retirement Living, responsible for establishing the WA Retirement Living division.
Greg loves and plays beach volleyball and chess, and has a passion for soccer and Grand Prix racing.
